Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Description
Last year, I carved a turnip for Halloween, to recreate the experience my Father had in England. fhaolan.deviantart.com/art/Nee… However, when I showed it to him he went "That's not a turnip." This set me back a bit, as it was very definitely a turnip. What I discovered is that in Northern England and Scotland, when they say 'turnip', they might mean a 'Swedish turnip' or what in America/Canada is called a rutabaga.
So, this time I did a rutabaga. Not much different from a turnip, really. It's a bit bigger, seems to have more surface texture, and is a touch softer I found. It's still awfully small and hard relative to pumpkins. I remember seeing rutabagas about 6" round in Ontario, but the biggest one we could find in the grocery store over here was about 4" round. This time I broke down and used a solid spoon to help hollow it out. I wanted to use a melon spoon, but that turned out to be too flimsy and just bent. If I do this again, I'm going to have to get a smaller knife as even a paring knife had too wide a blade to be particularly useful at this scale.
And just for reference; sometimes jicama is called 'turnip' too, in Malaysia. Maybe next year.
